2025 Nuer Peace Conference NCYPD Invitation of Rev. Gatkek Speaking & Announcements

Dear Friends & Partners of ARM,

It is with great honor that I was able to accept the invitation extended to me by the 2025 Nuer Christian Youth for Peace Development (NCYPD) Conference board, Elizabeth Nyayual Padiat, held February 17th to 24th in Ulang, South Sudan with efforts to promote peace and harmony in the region. The conference's goal was to bring together top leaders from various sectors to foster dialogue, unity and strategies for promoting peace within our African communities and beyond! It was a privilege to be invited there. I was selected as a spiritual leader in our community to speak and lead discussions to those in attendance. At the conference there were featured keynote speakers, panel discussions, and interactive peace-promoting sessions focusing on themes such as reconciliation, conflict resolution, and community building.

Also, for this year I am formally announcing the new board of directors for African Relief Ministries whose leadership and guidance will help shape the future of our mission. The newly elected boards members are as follows:

Rev. Ted Taylor, Pastoral Training Coordinator

We come together as stewards with a shared commitment to serve as advocates for the orphans and widows of South Sudan on our God given property in Gambella, Ethiopia. We trust that under the guidance of our Lord who is abundantly capable, we will achieve the goals set before us and make a meaningful impact!

Your support helps our ARM teachers to provide for their families and is instrumental in the orphans' every day Classroom Learning Experience. This year, the mission team of A.R.M. had the privilege to travel to Gambella Ethiopia to provided different services to the vulnerable orphans. We had seven people on our mission team who went to Gambella, Ethiopia who all were extremely talented with very different gifts and knowledge to provide to the orphans and widows during the two weeks in early 2023.

We are compelled to ask because of a temporary emergency issue unfolding in South Sudan. Many of us may not fully understand the needs of South Sudanese society right now. These photos below will give you the recent disaster activities and flood conditions those of our family located in the ARM Center. We are the voice for people like these South Sudanese affected by the flood and want to call on you, our ministry to be the hands and feet to help us. As I looked at the pictures, I have learned that there were many more children affected by this disaster. I am now appealing to you brothers and sisters to extend your hand or any help you can to respond to the current flood situation that has affected our Christian brothers and sisters in South Sudan. A.R.M. Mission Trip Recap 2024

APRIL 17, 2024 Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Last week wrapped up a month-long mission trip from March 13 - April 11 where we had the privilege to travel to Gambella, Ethiopia to provide different services and support to the vulnerable orphans and widows. The trip went very well and I was delighted to see the orphans and spend time feeding the kids as they were very happy for the feeding program and the new classroom tools. Now, the school building construction project is in progress, and we have begun working with an engineer to accomplish this big goal. We'll be sharing more soon, so be on the lookout for details in our next update. Those living in Gambella are truly blessed to have you in the U.S. come alongside them, praying daily, giving them support with your gifts out of the abundance of your heart! With every life touched this past month an even more awesome responsibility to help others' is our purpose. With more than 1,000 orphans in the A.R.M.
